We worked as the prime contractor for the installation of a 1.6MW cogeneration system on the campus of the 627-bed Kings County Hospital. The cogen system was designed around Capstone brand Microturbines installed in an outdoor location. The scope required installing the primary pump sets for the hot water waste heat circulation loop in this outdoor area.
Tie-ins to existing underground hot water systems and electrical systems are made in the outdoor buildings with supplemental pumping and electrical transformers and switchgear also being installed.
